Our Savings Model

We create projections based on well-defined plan management. This isn’t simply applying trend to last year’s experience. We take your census data, plan design, and previous 12 months of experience and, using a database established since the company’s inception, project the anticipated costs for the upcoming plan year. Generally, these projections are well below what the previous vendor estimated by adding trend to their experience. Our proactive approach to reduce costs includes:

  • Coordination of benefits – see 3% to 10% savings

  • Tighter COBRA management – see 2% to 5% savings

  • Tighter eligibility management – see 2% to 5% savings

  • Continuous monitoring of our network – see 1% to 3% savings

A Human Touch

We believe that our client administrators and members should have a single point of contact who is their advocate. To accomplish this, we’ve combined all the tasks that usually reside in various departments and made them the responsibility of one person—your client services manager. Your client services manager is not only your everyday contact, but also the same person who will manage:

  • Prior authorizations

  • Plan set-up changes

  • Eligibility

  • COBRA administration

  • Pharmacy/pharmacist issues

  • Patient/physician support

We also apply human logic in the adjudication process to identify issues early and help our clients save money. With a single point of contact between the client services manager and members, and the synergy that develops, we are able to easily identify issues that a system cannot, aiding in utilization management and associated client cost.

The Pharmacy Network

Because the network you choose can impact cost and service, we provide plan design options that incentivize your members to fill their prescriptions via a local pharmacy to offer greater savings and service. This value-based approach allows local and regional partner pharmacies to provide you with:

  • Local service – Clients and members benefit from preferred rates at local pharmacies

  • Mail order options – For clients who wish to provide the convenience of mail order

  • Wraparound pharmacy network options – Allows members outside the area to fill their medications at convenient locations
